Bang Saphan Thailand

Bang Saphan

Bang Saphan is about4 and a half or 5 hours by road south of Bangkok along the coast, a couple of hours south of Hua hin. Bang Saphan is thought of as well off the beaten track but for those who want quiet beaches and really discover the local Thai way of life at quiet beaches it is well worth a visit. The beaches around Bang Saphan include Baan Krut and others, also Koh Talu island which is good for snorkeling.
Do not expect nightlife or shopping, these are local town and village areas along the lovely coastline.

Bang Saphan Hotels

There are not many hotels in the Bang Saphan area but those that are there tend to be low rise resort style hotels along the beaches in the Bang Saphan area. You will not be paying high hotel rates here, but you can find some lovely resort hotels in Bang Saphan if you want carefree and lazy days on a beach in Thailand.

How to get to Bang Saphan

By road or train from Bangkok, or if coming from the south by road from Surat Thani, krabi or Phuket. from Surat Thani you can also take the train north to Bang Saphan. From just south of Bang Saphan at Chumphon you can find boats to Koh Tao, Koh Phangan and Koh Samui.
There is no airport in the area, nearest is Hua hin about 2 hrs 30 minutes north of Bang Saphan or at Surat Thani about 3 hours by road south of Bang Saphan Thailand.
