"Summer heat in Marseille" a Marseille Travel Page by TimDaoust

Marseille was a brief visit, sort of touch and go. We connected here on our way to see a friend of my roommate's in Aix-en-Provence. there were three of us travelling, myself, Dave, (the friend) and another friend, Cathy. Cathy wanted to stay here in Marseille and catch up with us later that day in Aix. Come to find out our friend in Aix had plans to take us on a picnic and tour of Marseilles and neighboring Cassis. The picnic spot was the Notre Dame cathedral. The highest point in Marseilles. Among other things we saw were lots of beachgoers, the Chateau d'If (from the famed Count of Monte Cristo story) and bright turquoise waters.
And it was hot and we were tired from having taken a night train the previous night. But that's a whole 'nother travelogue.
