I'm getting ready to embark on the greatest adventure of my life and I figured it was time to revamp these pages and get back in touch with all my VT friends with whom I've not spoken in far too long. My excuse is graduate school and various other social networking sites, the first of which is over now. Anyway, the adventure is a rather intrepid move to New York City, a place I've wanted to live since I was 17, and the story behind it is quite a long one. Stay tuned...

For now...

A little bit about me. I've lived in NC most of my life but was born in a town called Stanfordville out in the middle of nowhere near Poughkeepsie, NY. I grew up in Garner, NC near Raleigh though and was well on my way to being a musician as early as 10 years old when I started piano lessons. Played in rock bands, sang in choir and eventually I studied piano in college and went on to study music composition and now I'm write film scores and music for television and other media. My day job is in television however which also keeps it quite interesting. Currently, I'm working at NY 1 News in Manhattan, NY and living in Brooklyn, NY. Following my dream of being a film composer.

I caught the travel bug early on. My folks always dragged us on trips around the country and up the east coast and when I graduated college they sent me to Europe for 10 days. In college, as soon as I heard of the concept of studying abroad, I was trying to figure out how to make that happen. I finally got my chance in 2002 when I studied for a month in the summer in Angers, France. Best experience ever. Since then, I've been back to Paris twice. One could say I'm quite the Paris-o-phile. Some might even say that I need to branch out. Well, it's in the works. I'll be updating these pages even more over the next couple of weeks.
