Why Ithaca? We wanted a two night stopover somewhere between Niagara and NY. We checked out the map and a couple of guidebooks and chose Ithaca. We discovered a town with charm and great eating options along with countyside nearby that is really hot.
The lake is very big and the opportunities for outdoor activities in the summer look fantastic. It was only a two day stop during a very cold Easter week but we were very impressed with Ithaca and the surrounding area.
This is why I love US - the sense of space is breathtaking - lots of land, trees, fields - you never get this vastness (if that is a word) in the UK Back to Davesut's home page |
Places to stay Some great places for camping and general getting back to the countryside. We opted for the log country inn - a really great place to stay |
