Jerusalem, or Al Quds in its Arabic name, is without a doubt my favourite city in Israel-Palestine.
Three of the world's largest religions have their holiest sites literally within a stones throw of each other and the city is a fascinating blend of conservative religion and modern life. It manages to feel totally exotic and mysterious, and yet completely familiar all at the same time. |
