Our first night, the room seemed somewhat noisy - I attributed this to it being a Saturday night. The next morning I was awakened by the barking of the elephant seals at Pier 39 - much more pleasant than an alarm clock. I later discovered that a window in our room was partially open behind the curtain. Close the window - no more noise problem.

The room was great. We enjoyed the pool as well. This hotel is as close as you can get to Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. It's also on a cable car route.

Unique Qualities: The bay side view was great - One can see Alcatraz on a clear day. We watched part of the Air Show from our room.
