I cannot think of anything more characteristic of the Finnish culture than the Sauna.

A ritual in its own right the Finnish are absolutely addicted to it and make everyone else share their passion.

Goes very well with jumping in cold lakes and drinking beer or cider.

Do not miss it for anything.
PS Leave modesty behind. Sauna is best enjoyed nude. Take an example from those Finnish men in the picture!

Cons:too many bloodthirsty mosquitoes
