I live in Athens. As it always happens the inhabitants of a place are never too careful about details for their cities. they usually take them for granted. and I am such an Athenian. But I feel I have a small contribution to make as far as food is concerned. visitors tend to circulate in the most central part of the cities and usually finding a good place to eat is a chance thing. So let me take you for a walk around Athens and its surroundings and introduce you to some of the best food places around (that I have tried myself and have returned time and time again)!

As it turned out I have added a few more things other than food. I hope they are helpful.

Love your tips, Galatea! Thanks for opening an insider's secret chest! I am all excited about Germanwings taking up flights from Stuttgart to Athens.... Who knows if I won't make it in 2007....
