I love New York

by high_d - last update: Sep 29, 2009

Oh geesh...this page is truly lame...I have yet to update it...I really want to...soon hopefully...soon...

Time flies by so fast, it's almost a month ago that I visited THE city and

each visit feels like the first time, I want to go back again...hopefully soon.

More on my recent trip soon...
Week of 07-13-07 YIPEEE! I'm once again visiting THE city...

I love New York, true...such a cliche, but I am unfortunately lacking words that would sufficed how I feel about this city...the city that has it all...the city that I keep coming back to, time and time again. Maybe it is just fitting that the very first time I ever came to America at age 8, NEW YORK CITY was the place my family and I landed on. I remember it was winter and it had just snowed...probably first time I had actually seen snow falling and being awed by all the buildings.

Even though I do come to visit here a bit more than I would other places, I have yet to scratched the surface...there's so much I have yet to see, discover, and explore. It's a city like no other, there's just this vibe that I have not experienced elsewhere. Then again, I am not a seasoned traveler like many here on VT. To me, NYC has everything, it's a city of contradiction...one that will remain a favorite.

A typical day in lower Manhattan...
I still have so much I have yet to do here...hopefully next time I visit I can check off something on my NYC wishlist:

Central Park ~ I just want to sit down and people watch. Apparently Bethesda Terrace is a good place to do just that. There's also the Conservatory Garden that I would very much like to see. It would be a treat to hear the NY Philharmonic play in the Great Lawn during the summer. As a fan of the Beatles music, I have yet to see Strawberry Fields. Maybe nothin' there except the Imagine mosaic, but I haven't even seen that. The Tavern on the Green maybe a little uppity for me and probably a bit out of my price range but I have heard about their amazing topiaries. Maybe play a game at the Tennis Center...if I could still run after the ball.Or maybe, one winter day, go to Wollman Rink and like at Rockefeller, hold on to the railing while I "try" to iceskate.

American Museum of Natural History ~ Since I only need to head West from CP, the geek in me been wanting to pop in to this museum.

Zabar's ~ buy something good for a picnic...some cheese, crackers, deli stuff, drinks, desserts...

Riverside Park ~ bring all that picnic stuff from Zabar's and have a picnic...

to be con't...i need to...my NYC pages needs updating:(

I just have one request...can I please have this penthouse?

Living here in New Jersey, you'd think I would spend some time in NYC. Not really for me. Thank you for sharing the interesting things I'm missing. Hope you have a fabulous birthday.

You are making me want to go back here - but I would wait for springtime. Grazie for nice tour.

Hi Heidi, is that photo across the water from Brooklyn? Do you have any others like that one from that area?
