I am sure this is a lovely town and I just did not really get to explore it ... However my overwhelming impression of Birmingham was GREY! Even there 'cheerful' chocolate factory was dreary looking, lots of industry, fairly comfortable bus terminal (many a time spent waiting there for a transfer bus) and a kind of sinister undertow runs through the place (a la 'Felicia's Journey')

Cadbury World is great if you truly love chocolate, have moola to burn, or are under 10. Otherwise, it is expensive,... more travel advice
