Welcome to Tallinn, the medeival capital of Estonia! Tallinn is only about four hours by car from Riga, so we have had the opportunity to visit several times. We have been lucky with the weather each time. Clear blue skies, but snow on Christmas. Tallinn is a beautiful city, but small enough to see in a day or two, if you are up for a lot of walking. Our favorite thing to do in Tallinn is just to wander through the streets, stopping at coffee houses or other interesting-looking shops or museums that we run across. Don't miss the views over Old Town from Toompea, and a meal at Olde Hansa is definitely de rigeur for the tourist crowd. |
