I was in Toulouse on the night of carnival. We only spent some hours there, but we were lucky as there were lots of drumming bands making the town centre very lively, there was a great buz around the place and we were all dancing up and down to the beat. After a while we found a lovely little restaurant and had a meal there.
In my guide it said that Toulouse is called the pink city because of the stone used to build it, I looked out for that but did not notice as it was dark, I plan to go back to Toulouse as I liked this city's feel a lot, maybe then I get to take some photos and see more of the place.
