"Last Chance to See" Kenya by Buckz
Kenya Travel Guide: 4,265 reviews and 11,414 photos
"Last Chance to See" is the title of Douglas Adam's Book on Endangered species. It is an apt description of the situation regarding many species.
Eco tourism is the best long term solution. If we want the local communities to protect the wildlife and not eradicate it, we must encourage them to do in a long term viable way.
Tour companies such as Guerba employ mainly Kenyans in Kenya, for everything from guide to cooks to mechanics. Almost all food and charcoal is bought locally (ie in villages near the parks), so a large percentage of each tourist's spend ends up in the hands of the locals.
So Eco Tourism- save the planet, see the wonders of the world, and have a blast, all at the same time.

Thanks for stopping by my Kenya page. Your page is great...love the animal photos!
Wow, great animal pics and documentary. Thanks for dropping by my Waterton pages.
Amazing photos! I especially love the staring leopard (enlarged) and the rhinos. Enjoyed your style of writing, lovely page, thanks! (~_~)
An African safari is one thing I would still like to do. Chocolate bars sounds like an important staple that I'll remember. Thanks
Fantastic page! Such good pics. What camera did you use? You're right about leopard skin, only the original owner should ever wear it!! Great external page with excellent pics too.
Wow .... How "lucky" you were to see that Leopard fight .... Not many people in the world will ever be that fortunate!! Must be "the Luck of the Irish" he he ;)
Nice to see another fan of eco-tourism to Kenya, and from Dublin as well! Seeing a leopard fight must have been really special.
Bucks, you have an excellent Kenya page here, your photos are incredible. thanks for sharing. G'day from Australia
Kenya ia great. I liked Tanzania a little more - not yet so touristic. Very good pics you made! And what an opportunity to get so close to the Leopards....
It seems a great experience. I loved your pics.
