"Capital Village" Reykjavík Region by Buckz
Reykjavík Region Travel Guide: 1,526 reviews and 3,968 photos
I expected Reykjavik to be a bustling city- in fact it is a small compact town, which makes it a pleasure to visit.
Look out for the colourful roofs, the Cathedral Spire, the swan lake at the edge of town, and the Perlan.
My Iceland page has a bit of a rant on it- Iceland is an example to us all for their renewable energy, but an environmental pariah for its desire to resume whaling, and the overfishing of north sea cod (in association with Britain Ireland and other EU nations.)
Here for pictures and travel, there for opinion.
- Pros:Compact and different
- Cons:All kinds of weather...
- In a nutshell:One of the few places that is truly different.

Interesting tips!!! Come to Taiwan and check out some of the Pagodas...the stairs go round and round and round until you to the top (with some viewing points along the way)!!!
Thank you for your comment at my page. You have great tips too.
This is such a fascinating location. I had a wonderful time when I was here. Enjoyed your pictures.
You have some beautiful pictures here.
Thanks for your comment! Bobby & I are going to go to Iceland sometime soon. Guess I better get to Turkey first, haha:) Ohhh, spiral staircases...I have a phobia. Don't ask--it has no basis & doesn't keep me from them but they scare me, haha:)
Very good pics! I totally agree with the Icelandic paradox: most energy is green and/or renewable, yet they still cling to whaling and overfishing... Norway is very similar to that. Anyway, well done!
Cool page. Have to agree with the spiral staircase policy. There's a great one in the Siegessäule in Berlin you should check out.
Superb pictures. I like your spiral staircases interest! will you have more pictures on Iceland? I hope so as they are so good!
