I started traveling 6 years ago. My first trip was to Europe with friends. Since then I have been to different parts of Europe twice with my wife. I remember my first impression of Europe. I was alone and going to meet friend in Berlin the next day. i got off the plane and realized that I knew ZERO German. Thinking that I could slide by on my hellos and thank yous. It was an amazing feeling walking in to the airport without sleep. Finding my way to the bus and being able to get to my hotel made me feel very alive. I can't remember the last time arriving at a hotel in DC made me feel that way.
This summer we will be going to Korea with my wive's family. It will be my first time in Asia. But, not my last. My goal is to get to Vietman in the next few years. First I have to see how I do after an 18 hour plane ride. |
