Introduction

River as it passes through the Town
We had a pleasant week in Ayr in Sept 2005, staying at the Caravan Club Site which is situated right in the Town (but feels like the countryside).
View towards the Brig O Doon

Trip Highlights

* Visit to Brig O Doon/Tam O' Shanter Experience
* Carrick Hill
* Cycle ride
* Park at sea front
* Fish & chips at the Wellington
* Walks along the headland at Troon

 If anyone is up this way and they have a few days or more - it is well worth going up the coast to Ardrossan and getting a ferry accross to the Isle of Arran (it is very scenic and there are things to see and do here)
