Riverside Park is one of the nicest things about living in this town. The park is beautiful and include a train ride (just $.25) and a carousel ride that costs a nickle - that price, they say, will never go up.
Independence is a great town to visit but a nicer town in which to live. I've lived here three (3) years and love it!
- Pros:Friendly People, Small Town, Good Schools, Cultural Activities
- Cons:Lack of good restaurants. No truly fine dining available.
- In a nutshell:A great little town in the middle of everywhere!

Nice page you have here, and I like your PPP, too :)
iThe sidewalks roll up at about 10 or 11 a.m. is that actually 10 or 11 PM? "Hometown" America is alive and well!
Thanks for showing the little house, I'm a big Laura I. Wilder fan, I've got her whole collection here in S'pore.
The Little House on the Prairie Housey- that is fabulous- I watched loads of that (a LONG time ago) I wonder where are the cast now...
Nice couple of tips about Independence.
Great pictures, especially the 'cow wash'! My folks eat at Uncle Jacks during their investment club meetings and say it's pretty good
