Pilsen is located about 90 km southwest from Prague on crossroads four rivers Mze, Radbuza, Uhlava, Uslava. Famous for his Pilsner Urquell beer. The city was founded 1295 by King Vaclav II. on the important trade crossroads. Dominant part of the square it is the gothic church St. Bartholomeus and renesance style townhall. Around the square u can take a rest in the large "city gardens". Another atrraction is near city's undeground and brewerry museum. Or you can visit Synagoga, which is the one of largest in the Europe. |
