A little bit of colonial Germany As it's name suggests, Swakopmund (German for "the mouth of the Swakop River) is very German in character. In fact, German is more widely spoken here than any other language. The local architecture reflects this as well and many of the buildings proudly bost Bavarian spires and are built in true Germanic design. |
| | Swakopmund Brauhaus You simply cannot visit Swakopmund without sampling the local beers. The food at the Swakopmund Brauhaus is great as well |
