SEA HORSE: Cape Town's only floating restaurant
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: SEA HORSE

For a different view of the city, why not take a dinner cruise through the Victoria Basin, Duncan and Ben Schoeman docks.
They offer a 3 course a la carte menue and live band.

Cruises sail subject to weather conditions - seems to be restricted in very windy conditions

Baia: Fine Food - Great Views

  • Restaurant Name: Baia

Dine like the royalty at this exquisite restaurant.
Guaranteed to be a special occasion.

Favorite Dish: The fresh linefish is a must but they do serve excellent meat, poultry and game dishes as well - not to mention the dessert menue and huge wine list!

Good food - GREAT beers. Be prepared to spend some time here. The Belgian beers are great and so is the food.
Service was a bit slow though but that gave us more time to enjoy the beer.
    Nice vibe.

    Favorite Dish: The Beers
    Carpaccio
    Steak au Poivre "Den Anker"

    Bayfront Blu: Find this one!
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Bayfront Blu

Hiden away behind the Two Oceans Aquarium, the Bayfront Blu is a small friendly restaurant that few ever find. (We've already had the whole place to ourselves - with a live jazz band!
The view over the yacht basin is great and the service VERY friendly.

Favorite Dish: My favourite was the South African Seafood Poitjie but I believe that the Tembiso's Sowetan curry is pretty good as well.

Blue Peter Hotel: A Cape Town favourite
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Blue Peter Hotel

Although it's called The Blue Peter Hotel, It's not really that.(to us locals anyhow)
Although I've listed it as a restaurant, it's not really that either although they do serve light meals.
The Blue Peter is the place Cape Townians go to chill out as the sun sets over Table Bay.

Grab your favourite drink at the bar then find your spot on the terraced lawn and relax as the sun sets over the bay. Bring the whole family (including the dogs)
This is what Cape Town is all about!

Favorite Dish: Only light meals served - The sunsets are the speciality!

Awarded the Platinum award for their wine list - One of only 22 hotels nationwide to receive this honour!

This place has an unbelieveable atmosphere and is definitely one of the places to be seen at in Cape Town.

    Sports Café: Catch the game!
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Sports Café

As the name implies, this somewhat noisy establishment is where to be when the big game is on.
It's the next best thing to being in the stands!

Favorite Dish: The Chicken Wings are SUPERB!
