My living arrangements are actually quite nice. Although it is not huge, The layout and design is so smart and compact that I find it very convenient and cozy.
It's taking a bit of getting used to and I'm still a bit uncomforatble sleeping so close to the ground, but when in Japan...
My roomate got a real bed second-hand so I got her extra futon underlining and stacked it on top of my own. Still, it is not as comfy as my matress in Toronto.
The tatami mats are really quaint--although every morning it smells a bit like hay in my room. =)
But what is surprsingly much better are the 7-11's and other convenient stores. They've got pretty decent prepared meals like noodles, pasta, bento boxes that make really great lunches if you're on the go and need a quick bite. There's a chocolate twist bread that is really yums! The staff, also, is very polite and greet every customer when the enter and leave.
- Pros:Beautiful parks, great atmosphere
- Cons:not much to do outside central area
- In a nutshell:Great for nature lovers
