The Flamingo turned out to be a great place to stay. I got a great rate through one of their specials and was pleasantly surprised to see that the room was very nice. The hotel itself is right in the middle of the best part of the strip. The place is bustling 24 hours a day, so this won't be the place for you if you like quiet and subdued. Check in was easy and quick, and so was check out. The casino itself was a good size, and their Connection card can be used at a bunch of other casinos. Pool area was really nice.
On the downside, the safe in the room was very expensive, and so was making calls from the room. I got around this by using my cell phone only. The Italian restaurant in the hotel is not worth the money at all. The buffet was very good though.
