Popular place to visit

Reenactments on weekends (North Carolina Brigade)
Seems as though loads of people make it to Gettysburgh or would like to see it. It is a place that you should realy soak in and visit for a few days to get take in all the information and events that are going on in the park. I live about a two hour drive from it so I've been here a few times and have enjoyed not only the park but the town as well.
A distant family member on the Pa. memorial

Family in the civil war

I always knew I had family members in the civil war, one reason is that they are mentioned in books but another reason is here on the Pennsylvania monument I found Jacob Wentz on it. I'm not really interested in this stuff at all just thought it was cool.

I loved visiting Gettysburg. The guy who made the xlent documentary series brought the history alive&then the 4 hour movie came out- a close relative was into this stuff as well so i got a kick out of being where the history was made.as terrible as it was.

Nice page. The train sounds interesting. We'll need to get up here sometime soon. Cheers, Mark
