Since Florence is only an hour (west) from Eugene, it's a popular destination for bored college students. I usually went there at least once a term while I was at the UO.
Florence is located about an hour west of Eugene, on HWY 101, at the mouth of the Siuslaw River. Aside from the usual Oregon Coast type things to do-eating clam chowder, playing on the beach-Florence also hosts the Rhododendron Festival in the spring. |
