This place is awesome! It is located 7 miles south of Bandon on HWY 101. It has been in existence for 35 years and is home to about 450 animals and birds, representing 75 different species.
The reason why this place is so great is the interaction with the animals. There are llamas, goats, deer and bighorn sheep mingling with the park visitors, which you can feed and pet to your hearts content. They have a farm babies thing that they do where they bring out baby raccoons, possums, skunks, ferrets, that anyone can hold and pet.
In addition to the baby "farm babies" they also bring out more exciting yung'uns like bear cubs, lion cubs, tiger cubs, and linxes. You cannot pick these animals up, but you can pet them and the great thing about this zoo is they make sure that everyone gets a turn.
It's also a great place for photographing these beautiful animals...check out my travelogues for more photos.
