Washington State, known as the Evergreen State, is located in the Northwest corner of the U.S.
Washington is a state with two faces. Western Washington is green, with somewhat mild weather-lots of rain, not much snow or high temperatures in the summer. It is home to Seattle and the only Rain Forest in the United States.
While the west side is green and forested, the east side is high desert country, characterized by cold winters, very hot summers, exposed rock formations and farmland. Yes, farmland. Even though it is technically a desert, irrigation provides enough water for our hundreds of thousands of acres of farmland. Eastern Washington is home to Spokane (the second largest city in Washington) the Blue Mountains, and the Columbia River.
Washington's main crops are: wheat, potatoes, corn, apples, wine grapes, and hops.
- Pros:Not a major tourist destination, but tons to see
- Cons:Eastern Washington is misunderstood as an ugly boring place
- In a nutshell:Wonderful mix of terrain and climates

the nature of Eastern Washington is incredible...as I remember it...but Seattle might still be a bit more interesting :) This looks like an awesome concert venues! The Foo Fighters, these guys rock; I just saw them in January!
You are from Vantage? E WA is a whole region apart from the West - as you rightly point out. The weather is drier, the wine is better. No wonder Eugene looked so good to you:-]
Is it in Washington state that you have these Peppermint Schnapps ? Thanks for your comment on my page :-)
