Bad Duerkheim is located on the Weinstrasse, in the heart of Rheinland-Pfalz's wine country.

The Wine Barrel held 1.7 million liters of wine when it was built by Fritz Keller in 1934, but now all it holds is a restaurant.

We all had a great time on out little trip through the Pfalz's wine country.

This picture if of me inside the Giant Barrel. When we were there, the main part of the restaurant was closed, so I had to sneak up there&c* to get this photo.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Interesting piece of history, also a Salinarium in Bad Dürkheim
Cons:If you go in a small car with three brothers, be prepared for complete insanity
In a nutshell:A must on the Weinstrasse

cool pics !! Bad D is awesome especially during the winefest in August ..Lot of fond memories and some I don't remember.
