Long Key was for me a completely unique camping experience. I had never had the pleasure of camping in a tropical environment prior to arriving in Long Key. Handicapped accessible state park

Handicap accessible nature trails in Long Key

One of the most remarkable things about Long Key State Park is that a lot of the beautiful sights are handicap accessible! There is a good non -accessible hiking trail where we saw some snakes and lizards, very desert-like but you can see unbelievable shore birds and some incredible mangrove trees as you navigate your way around the ramps.

Pros and Cons

Pros:beautiful birds, amazing sunsets and nature at it's purest
Cons:Very aggressive racoons
In a nutshell:Embrace tropical nature and enjoy!
