| Page Views: 303 Last Visit to London: December, 2006 I Was Born Here | My Home Town by mollymoo0oo0 - last update: Apr 13, 2008 |
Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner.... Well, I've finally moved on, but London is my hometown - more specifically South East London. Twenty seven years of my life has been spent here!
Places I've lived include Lewisham, Lee, Greenwich, Blackheath, Hither Green, Catford... all very close to each other (within the boroughs of Lewisham and Greenwich)... and a little further out, Sidcup, Bexley and Bromley (Greater London/Kent). I have worked in most of these areas, and more - including the West End and the City of London.
I will add tips and suggestions for places to go and things to do.... I've seen "the sights", but they are many and always changing, plus they are often accounted many times elsewhere.
My intention here is to add a few of the lesser-known places and places a tourist may not end up in without a pointer in the first place.... this is my kind of London. I will also be adding some basic practical advice, such as money/travel tips etc. |

Bwana_Brown Tue Jun 16, 2009 03:56 UTC Thanks for all the great 'insider' info on London! We did the Eye for X-Mas 2005 and it was awesome! Your New Tayyabs curry tip reminded my of an Afghan one we had in Nerja, loved the different flavours. The Green Chain walks sounds like a great idea! | pchamlis Fri Feb 27, 2009 23:29 UTC Good info from a true Londoner. :) Especially interesting restaurant tips, especially the modest South American place and the fish 'n chips in Catford. ummmm. | Mariajoy Tue Feb 19, 2008 20:53 UTC Hi Molly! Do you know anything about those blue pavement lights in your intro pic? I was in London the other night with friends and saw them, but can't find out anything about them eg the designer's name? Just thought I'd ask! Hope things are going well! | mvtouring Wed Mar 14, 2007 06:28 UTC Hi Molly, thanks for the excellent tips esp the one about the organic market ;-) |
