New York City is the unofficial capital of the world. Its residents are from every corner of the world and, for better or worse, continues to draw immigrants from all over.
Having been raised in New York City and still call it home, I can say the city has changed for the better ever since Ed Koch became mayor in the early 1980's. |
| | New York City is made up of five boroughs-Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Staten Island, and Manhattan. Unfortunately most tourists never leave Manhattan except when going to the airports.
Yes, Manhattan has most of the major attractions, but it is also very touristy. To find the real and future direction of New York City, one has to venture out to the outer boroughs and its ethnic neighborhoods which are constantly evolving. |
| | A trip to New York City isn't complete without a visit to Central Park, a beautiful refuge in the heart of a bustling city. The park is gorgeous in all seasons but especially during the blossoming spring and colorful fall. I think the park radiates romance and a walk in the park makes you want to fall in love. |
