Jiuzhaigou

Jiuzhaigou, a beautifully preserved park with its many colorful lakes and waterfalls, in Sichuan Province. Probably China's equivalent of Yosemite or Yellowstone.

A fight scene from the Chinese epic movie 'Hero' was filmed in one of its many spectacular 'mirror' lakes.

Huanglong

In Huanglong, another well preserved nature reserve, there are unique 'ponds' formed by glaciers. Even though oxygen tubes were offered, the hike up to the main temple is not that difficult...Everest it is not.

Leshan Grand Buddha

The Leshan Grand Buddha is just huge, one of the 5 great Buddhas of China

Yes, those are tourists on the left side of the picture...that is how big this ancient Buddha is.

    Good tips on sichuan province, this is a beautiful land which i enjoyed visiting a few years ago.
