"No temple made with hands can compare with Yosemite"
The great American naturalist John Muir wrote that. He was the driving force behind the establishment of Yosemite back in 1890 - one of North America's most beloved of national parks. |
| | All that is Yosemite
Whether you're gazing upon the 2,700 year old Grizzly Giant (the oldest knonw sequoia tree in existence today) in Mariposa Grove, or hiking BridalVeil Falls - if you're scaling El Capitan or marveling at Yosemite Falls; you can be transfixed by Half Dome at sunset or just quietly introspecting among the grasses of Yosemite Valley....
....Yosemite National Park will grab your heart and humble you, move you to tears, and put joy in your heart ... the kind of joy that makes you glad to be alive to feel the sun on your face and the wind at your back. |
Yosemite Factoids

Is Gabster a good girl on flights? | cnango Fri Jan 20, 2006 07:51 UTC This is a great Yosemite page jademuse. It brings back a lot of childhood memories and stories from my Grnadparents who honeymooned in Camp Curry in !932 ! I got some great black & white pix, but I enjoyed this Virtual tour in living color. Cheers, Nancy | goingsolo Mon Dec 19, 2005 17:52 UTC Some laugh out loud tips here. I think everyone has a nightmare Yos story. Mine was the flat tire. FYI- the NP "luxury" hotels are a rip. None appear worth the $$$ price tag. Next time, try one of the neighboring towns. No roughing it & decent prices. :) |
