Genesee River near Veteran's Bridge. Kodak Park is a stone's throw away. This is heading towards Lake Ontario. Soon we will have the Fast Ferry and will be able to take a trip to Toronto. Canada...I can't wait. In the other direction it will head towards the High Falls area going towards the city. I am only a few blocks away from here.
Located at Goodman & Clinton, just around the corner from Highland Park......home of the Lilac Festival held in May. Old fashioned dining car diner with great food. In the summer when weather permits, you can enjoy your dining pleasure outside.
Great website I recently found and you might enjoy it too. Has a video of Stutson Street Bridge. This bridge is raised to allow tall boats to come through. Check it out. Rocpic

Hi Chris. I love reading about VT members' hometowns and yours was no exception... read & rated; thanks for sharing! Greetings from a German and a Scotsman in Arabia :-) Jess
Hi there Chris - nice to see a bit of your part of the world - I used to live not far from it across the border. Cheers, Marina
Path you show may be rail way (now trail); it doesn't go to Lake Ave but exits at Pattonwood; cross the bridge/river to get to Lake Avenue. And, Garbage Plate picture was shot by Eric and Stephanie Meister. You might want to give them credit for the pic.
Nice pics of the canal area. must be wonderful living so close to a major part of Americana. Since you were born in Ocotber, you must be wise, talented, and beautiful. Your tips manifest this. thank you
That's a shame I have no photos from Rochester. But I have bourht Kodak camera lately.;)
Nice glimpses of your home city. Have you been on that fast ferry to Toronto yet? -- I don't think I've ever actually seen the Erie Canal, though in school we had to sing about it.
Hi Chris, Thanks for stopping by. Carol grew up not far from Cobb's Hill. Her parents still live in Brighton so we visit often. Great picture of the ferry ;-) Life goes on...Tom
great intro photo - happy birthday
Nice photo!
The photograph of the river is spectacular.....like to see more of your home town
