Not far from Rochester are the Finger Lakes. Canandaigua Lake is the closest. A beautiful lake to go sailing, boating or just spend the day along the pier.There is also a public beach for swimming if you are not fortunate to own a cottage along the shore. Another attraction is Sonnenburg Gardens near by. Many nice restaurants or just near by hots or hamburgers.
