San Diego is the second largest city in California--bigger than San Francisco, smaller than Los Angeles. It reminds me of San Francisco. It also has a bay--San Diego Bay--and a bridge--Coronado Bridge. It appears more relaxed, however. Because of its ties to the U.S. Navy, you may see an aircraft carrier when you scan the bay.
San Diego has plenty of attractions to keep a visitor occupied. SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo, Old Town, Seaport Village, Coronado Island, Balboa Park, and Cabrillo National Monument are just some of them.
It's also near the border with Mexico. If you want to see something different then visit Tijuana. You can take the San Diego Trolley Blue Line to San Ysidro where you can take a bus to Tijuana or just walk across the border. Don't forget to bring the appropriate documents with you, however, so that you can return to the United States. |
