  I know! But I have seen Turkey from Symi ;-))) Also love Turkish food and raki, and have Turkish friends ;-) Now I live too far away to really consider a visit. Best wishes, Sissi

  Proof? I wasn't there to investigate, I was only a tourist in Van. My only source was news. If it is reasonable to rely on the comments of a person who stayed there for a few days, I can say Van is safer than Istanbul. I'd love to visit Van more often.

  Merhaba me complain? I think you have missunderstood. As yabance you need ID esp when police road blocks at night. As female I walk straight into Angelique, if I had been a man then I had needed female(s) with me. Males even locals are asked for ID here:(

  Hi there! My comment about the opening hours of Topkapi was a bit ironic... ;) Actually managed to get in there in May this year. Although with the amount of people who visited it they should have it open longer one could say...
