Looking for help?

Fremont Street
I live here in Las Vegas and would be glad to help anyone with any questions. I like to meet people from all over the world, so if your coming my way, let me know, I'd like to meet up with you and get our picture together and have a drink.

I have just started this VT stuff so my cyberworld is still under construction. So as your trip gets closer and closer, check it out again to see if you have found anything you that interests you.

Also as people that I get to meet come in and out of town, I will be adding stuff with them also.
Mayor Oscar Goodman

A Message From Las Vegas Mayor Oscar B. Goodman

As mayor of the most exciting city in the world, I would like to invite everyone to join us in celebrating Las Vegas’ Centennial. On May 15, 2005, Las Vegas turns 100 years old. The Centennial Celebration Committee has promised to commemorate our 100th birthday as only Las Vegas can by hosting a birthday party that’s bigger and brighter than the neon lights on the Las Vegas Strip!

The celebration kick-off will be on December 31, 2003, and last for more than a year. The largest concentration of our Centennial will take place the week of May 15, 2005. There will be several large-scale events such as television specials, fireworks show, parades and aviation shows. We will have several local components as well, including the return of Helldorado Days, family reunions, historical tours, diversity events and Las Vegas history curriculum in the schools.

I encourage all of you to visit this website for updates about the fabulous events that will be taking place leading up to our big birthday bash. The official website for the Centennial, www.lasvegas2005.org, is currently under construction but check back for updates.

For more information on the Centennial and to order merchandise, call Stacy Allsbrook at (702) 229-4733.

A word about our wonderful Mayor

We have the coolest Mayor in the World. One day you may see him on Fremont Street partying and hosting a Bombay gin party with show girls and scattered thugs and the next day he will be on TV asking the locals to donate blood because of a shortage.

Las Vegas residents who have issues they would like to discuss or who would simply like to meet the mayor are invited to join him for a cup of coffee and pastries.

He is working all the time. You can go see him whenever you want.

Oscar B. Goodman was born in Philadelphia and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He moved to Las Vegas in 1964 and soon became one of the city's premier criminal defense attorneys. Goodman was elected the 19th mayor of Las Vegas in June 1999.

Mayor Goodman is committed to preserving Las Vegas' status as the "Most Livable City in America," as well as ensuring that the city maintains its spot on Fortune Magazine's annual ranking of the "Top Ten Places for Business."

Mayor Goodman and his wife, Carolyn, have been married for 37 years, and their four children were raised and educated in Las Vegas.
