apparently this guy had too many beers ,ended up having a nap in the middle of all this activity
there is also a 100 yen shop and (get this) a 99 yen shop right inside the complex ,they sell practically everything ,and there are lots of things worth buying from there
english is not very common here ,and at times you might find it difficult to ask for specific things ,but once you appraoch anyone ,you will be surprised to the extent they will go to help you even without a word of english,Osaka folks are extremlyt friendly and down to earth
ofcourse there is also the culture shock ,like the way they display their food (wax replicas) ,this practice is not for non japanese speakers it is intended to cater more for the japanese crowd who like to see what things look like before ordering
ps: the food is absolutely delicious
so back to Osaka ,i have visited this place quite a few times already and i like to come here often
if you find yourself on a short business trip and staying in Hyatt hotel near trade centre ,it means you are a bit out of town ,which is not a problem because the subway system is great and easy to use ,on top of that it is cheap too ,about 800 yen (less than 8 dollars ) all day pass
i fyou happen to be there on a sunday ,check out the carboot sale ,it is held sea side asian trade centre or inside the trade centre in winter
these two places just across the road from the Hyatt have a lot to offer too ,lots shops ,restaurants and some activities during christmas and new year
the best thing about this place is its people ,ever so friendly and down to earth
- Pros:neat ,organized ,and friendly and exellent subway system
- Cons:taxis are expensive
- In a nutshell:u will find urselfe more welcome than u can hope for ,the people make up the whole experience worth it
every year for the past three years people in osaka will hold and outdoor stage perfprmance , lights and sound show you... more travel advice
people gather on sundays behind the asian trade centre and bring everything the want to sell, new or old it is amazing... more travel advice
