I have been in New York back in 1998 for one week and flew to Miami afterwards..
I have quickly forgotten the glamour of this city as soon as I started to breathe the warm,friendly air of Miami..Miami was the best...
Well, this time I changed my mind..New YORK was something else..
I cannot call it a city..Because it is not..
All the universe is here..Every nation,every culture has become a part of this huge melting pot..
It has everything to offer ... I stayed at a friend's flat in Manhattan 83 rd which is ideal for New York..Very close to Central park,still very close to main attraction areas like Broadway,Soho,Times Square ...
I felt very different for the first time,I felt like I am absorbed by the Universe...I was just an element that was disappeared among quadrillions of other elements..
I felt somewhat relieved...No stress,no quick thinking...a free fall..
You did think that I am in love with New York,didn't you?No,I am not..I am still in love with Europe,in Istanbul..
New York is not a place to live happily ever after,it is like going to a crazy party which you can enjoy once a year..That's all..
But the party was great and I look forward to it next time.. |

Hello Mehmet. Great NYC Pages. I like the human side of the city you capture which is hard when it is easy to be dazzled by all the skyscrapers. You must come back to Chicago where the orginal Crowbar is. |
