I went to Amsterdam on feb. 2000 when I was an erasmus student at the University of Hull (Hull, England). I went there with some friends (Clara, Ana, "Perdigon", Marta, Martiņa, Javi and Sebas). We took a ferry from Hull to Rotterdam and then by bus from Rotterdam to Amsterdam. The experience was great. None of us knew how Amsterdam would be, and we all fell in love with the city. The thing that impressed me most was the shape of its houses, ending like triangles, its channels and the fact that everybody went everywhere by bike. I never saw so many bikes together in my life! and they were not the typical mountain bikes or race bikes. They looked like very old-fashioned but they were great. Everything was great, just great!!! Itīs a lovely and beautiful city. |
