  • Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: You MUST bring sunscreen when you go to Las Vegas. Even in the winter. I can't tell you how many times I see tourists walking around just burnt to a crisp. The desert sun is intense and you need protection.

You should wear sunscreen and a hat, not only when you're lying around the pool, but when you're walking down the Strip checking out the sights.

Sun / Heat Protection: Bring bottled water

  • Miscellaneous: If it is at all possible, bring some of your own bottled water with you to Las Vegas. It is very hot and dry there and it's very important to stay hydrated. Water tends to be expensive in Las Vegas (especially if you buy it at a hotel store), so bringing your own is cost-effective. If you can't bring your own water, stock up at a local liquor store (less expensive) at the beginning of your trip. Keep them in your hotel room and take one with you whenever you're out walking around the strip.

Your tour through Las Vegas was great. I remember the first time I visited the Forum Shops; I was totally dazzled and couldn't find my way out for hours.
