Boston

by Erin74 - last update: Oct 1, 2004

For those who love sports, history and good food.

Boston's Back Bay & the Charles River
Boston was established in 1630 and is one of America’s oldest cities. If you love history, you'll find more reminders of America's past in Boston than in any other city. Everywhere you turn, there is a building or landmark of historical significance.

But Boston isn't mired in the past--- this is a hip, urban place filled with college kids, young professionals and vibrant ethnic communities. If you're a sports fan, you'll be right at home in Boston. There are few places in the country where people are so passionately devoted to their sports teams. And in recent years, Boston has also burst onto the culinary scene with a host of incredible restaurants.

Boston is one of my favorite cities in the entire country. I went to college here and it is a place I enjoy returning year after year. Now that the Big Dig is nearing completion, the city is looking better than ever--- with new views and parks all over downtown. Visit Boston!

History Galore

The old and the new collide in Boston. Everyone loves taking this photo of old Trinity Church reflected in the mirrored exterior of the John Hancock Building. It's a perfect way to show the contrasts of Boston.

The beauty of the parks & natural scenery

Boston is filled with parks and greenery. The Boston Common & Boston Public Garden are the showpieces of a city that's done an excellent job of bringing nature into an urban area.
