A stunning stop on the Amalfi Coast.

I went to Positano to attend the wedding of a friend. If you're considering getting married abroad, look no further than Positano. It is unbelievably romantic and beautiful.

Positano feels very isolated. It's quite a journey to get here (from Rome: a train, then another train, then a bus) and once in Positano it seems very separate from the rest of the world. The city is beyond gorgeous-- building of every color spill down the hillside into the sea. Despite being perched on rock cliffs, Positano is filled with lovely foliage and blooms. The rock beach is wide and welcoming and the water is perfectly warm.

After experiencing the hustle and bustle of Rome, Positano was a relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable retreat.

Pros and Cons

Pros:The gorgeous views, adorable shops, warm waters, excellent food.
Cons:Those horrible, endless stairs.
In a nutshell:Not a place to visit if you're disabled-- but otherwise AMAZING.

I hope you can help me locate a restaurant. It was on the right at the foot of the street that went down to the ocean from the highway. I think "Winds" was in the name, maybe now that Boca restaurant We stayed at La Fenice, many steps up from the highway

hey positano eh diffenately worth a visit to the amalfi coast we stayed in sorrento there beautifull indeed great pages brings back happy memorys slainte from ireland;-)))
