Chartres is located on the left bank of the Eure River, in the Loire Valley region of France. It is about 60 miles southwest of Paris and is easily accessible by train. Chartres is a lovely and scenic town filled with churches and half-timbered houses lining cobbled streets. You'll find a large war memorial here and plenty of places to eat, shop and wander. |
