Hi there personally i found it abit confusing at first , my map of amsterdam in my lonely planet and yha guide sucked they were very vague and i found myself at the station at 5.30 in the morning freezing , once i got a descent map i was ok and realized its fairly simple to navigate your self around amsterdam to be honest the whole time i was here i was either in an irish pub or a coffee shop or munching out , theres lots of good eateries here aswell.Lovely old buildings .
