Hi there i found this place to be spectacular personally camping on the craters rim and then exploring thewildlife inside the crater during the day.Unlike other game reserves the animals here are fairly confined to 20squarekm radius of the crater so it makes viewing them alot easier .
The whole time i was here i fell in love with the place , the scenery was spectacular and i was mesmerized .Camping on the craters rim was great there were a few other tourist not many though, we were only here for a few days some people had been there for weeks.
The sounds of the wildlife at night was magical and at times abit hairraising , at one point there was an animal inches away from my face smelling me through my tent you dare not breath when this is happening or let your heart beat for that matter, or as you start to fall asleep suddnely you hear an elephant crashing through long grass metres away and your hoping it dosent run through your tent haha.
- Pros:Great scenery and wildlife
- Cons:some people are dissapointed if they dont see a lion killing a beast , i couldnt care less
- In a nutshell:fond memories of a breathtaking wilderness that is very natural and unchanged

Camping on the crater rim sounds wonderful! We opted for the lodging option and it definetly wasnt our style! ;-))))Maybe camping next time around..
