I've been dreaming of a visit to Mexico for a long time, but could not afford it. And then, in 2006 it became possible for me. I had two main points - to see the historical places (the famous Mayan pyramids, etc.) and to see as much of the local animal and plant world as possible. Therefore, the optimal place for my trip was Playa del Carmen.
I still don't know the details of the Mayan history, but I was impressed with the ancient towns, pyramids and gamecourts.
I'm happy my dream came true and it was worth every cent I spent for the trip! |
| Sunrise at Playa del Carmen, Mexico |
| | Fantastic beaches and views When you come from the north as I did you are fascinated with the high skies of the Caribbean. The sky here has a lot of levels, clouds can go different ways at different levels and the picture changes every minute.
Take a good camera, because there are a lot of magnificent viewsm which you can later admire during long and cold winter nights :) |

| | Rich animal world Usually, the first animal you see in the area of Playa del Carmen is an iguana. At first you try to take a picture of every iguana you see and then you get bored with them, cause there are as many iguanas here as stray cats in the streets of Moscow...
You also have a chance to see other representatives of mother nature here, - other lizards, birds, turtles, huge butterflies, etc. There are special parks to visit, where you can see animals in their natural habitat. So, if you are a nature enthusiast, this place is highly recommended. |
