Maybe other travellers had other impressions of Sri-Lanka, but I suddenly remembered the summers I spent with my grandmother in a Ukrainian village. The hotel in Sri-Lanka where I stayed is located in a small village, and the road that leads to it is not paved in some places. When I went for a walk, I could see pigs sleeping at the road, cows, local people walking or on bikes.

It can be boring, unless this is what you actually wanted your vacation to be like.
