  • Trogir is a very old and nice Croatian town. It was founded by the Greeks in the 3rd century A.C. There are historical buildings and the atmosphere is very cozy. Just walk the streets and enjoy yourself. There are a lot of small cafes and restaurants, so you'll never be hungry.

There is also a market in Trogir, where you can buy fruit, vegetables some things for the beach, etc.

From Trogir you can take a bus to Split or other destinations.

  • Plitvice Lakes is a National Park of Croatia with unique nature. There are sixteen lakes with crystal clean blue-green water and a lot of streams, waterfalls and brooks. Wooden paths go along the lakes and from lake to lake. You can take one of the several offered routes and enjoy the views. While walking, you will be folowed by a lot of fish waiting for a piece of bread.

The visit to Plitvice Lakes was one of the best experiences in my life!

Just remember to wear sensible shoes, because the long walk will make you tired. And be aware that the weather in this part of the country is very different from the weather at the coast. While it's hot and sunny at the coast, it can be quite cool and raining in the area across the mountains, where the Plitvice Lakes are.

  • There's not much to see inside, but there's an excellent view of the whole Trogir from the top of the fortress.

The fortress itself was built from 1420 to 1437 by Master Marin Radoj.

I was in Split a few weeks ago but not in Trogir. You have nice >Split photos. It was great to visit Split, Supetar and Dubrovnik.

Good beginning! Croatia is addictive and you should come back soon! Don't miss Istria, coastal and inland. In French, a tie is called "cravate", which reminds its origin!
