    • Croatian cuisine is not very complex. It includes fried fish (mostly mackerel), seafood (mostly octopus) and vegetables. Octopus salad (boiled octopus with tomatoes and onions) is served in most restaurants.

    In some touristic places you can see old ladies selling pies with jam, berries, meat or cheese. The pies are very tasty and quite cheap, they make a good snack, so if you see them, try them.

    Favorite Dish: I liked the octopus salad and the pies. Fried mackerel tasted strange... It's OK, but not for me.
